KOLKATA: With the state government planning to hold the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in April, KMDA will spruce up the surroundings of Milan Mela grounds for overall development of the area within next two months.
Among the plans are to set up a new road between Milan Mela and ITC Sonar, restoration of the existing service roads, car parking zone, pavements, painting the Maa flyover piers and wall paneling of the Science City underpass.
The existing service roads off Milan Mela would be repaired and relaid. The car parking area, pavements and road medians will be renovated. Around Rs 1.7 crore has been fixed for this purpose. KMDA has initiated the process to engage agencies for these works that will be implemented by March end.
