Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl attend big, fat Kolkata wedding – TOI Etimes

Sushmita Sen was in Kolkata recently to attend a robust family wedding at one of the most elite venues in town. While the actress was papped at the airport and pictured with her family at the various wedding functions, including the now on-now-off Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa, it was her plus one who seems to have caught a fair bit of attention. In pictures and videos shared by her sister-in-law Charu and brother Rajeev, there is a that one constant in Sushmita’s life, who has been caught in the frame.

And it seems it is quite by accident. Rohman Shawl, with whom the actress had famously but gracefully broken up on social media before the Lalit Modi chapter, was travelling with the actress with whom he has remained ‘good friends.’ Even as she handled the bouquets and brickbats that came with the Lalt Modi ‘disclosure’.

This is not the first time Rohman has accompanied Sushmita to a family event in Kolkata. Earlier, the actress visited the Kolkata suburbs for a family wedding where Rohman was pretty much the star of the show. Those were the early days of their romance of course. A source close to the family revealed, Rohman has always been a part of the Sen family events, even when the couple were allegedly not in a romantic relationship. “It isn’t as if they have reunited or anything. They attended another private event recently together in the city,” she said, adding how all members of the Sen family continue to share an affectionate relationship with Rohman.
