These include not allowing visitors inside the hospital for longer hours, also not allowing visitors without masks. The state government has urged people to continue wearing masks and hence, the same rule is being followed.

There is always a possibility of the COVID-19 cases going up, hence, maintaining distance and wearing mask is mandatory within the hospital premises in Kolkata. The hospital authorities said that it has only been a month since the COVID-19 cases have gone down, hence, awareness is important.
A hospital authority said that in the past masks have proven to be a good way to keep the COVID-19 numbers under control, and hence, the mandatory mask rule is good to stay. Along with the mask rule some hospitals are also strict on the number of visitors allowed inside the hospital.
