‘Threat calls to CU VC’ – Times of India

Kolkata News

Kolkata: Vice chancellor of Calcutta University, Sonali Chakravarti Banerjee, is allegedly receiving threat calls, messages and emails for last few days from some students who want online examinations for even semesters. At the June 3 syndicate meeting, a unanimous decision was taken to hold UG and PG exams offline. Banerjee said, “This is not my decision. We spoke to chairpersons of UG council, PG faculty council members and college principals and majority wanted offline exams. It’s unfortunate that some students are doing this but as a guardian I won’t file any complaint.” tnn
