Calcutta University Exams 2022 news with latest updates is here. In a major development, the varsity has announced that all CU Exams 2022 will be held in offline mode. The decision announced on June 3, 2022 is at the backdrop of students demanding online exams at CU.
According to a PTI report on Calcutta University Exams 2022, the Vice-Chancellor Sonali Chakraborty Banerjee said, “Today Calcutta University Syndicate members unanimously accepted the recommendations of the members of all Faculty Councils, the chairpersons of all Undergraduate Boards of Studies and opinions of most of the Principals to conduct the upcoming even semester examinations in offline mode.”
Calcutta University conducting CU Exams 2022 in offline mode was the main point of objection by many students. Several had even protested and on some occasions taken to the streets, demanding online exams for CU.

Due to such incidents and constant protests from students, Calcutta University decided to reconsider its decision and took inputs from Principals of affiliated colleges. The meeting was reportedly held around May 27, 2022, in which Principals gave their inputs and reportedly agreed with CU Exams 2022 being held in offline mode.
Following this decision of offline exams, Calcutta University instructed all Principals of affiliated colleges to complete the courses and pending syllabus, if any with students. CU even asked colleges to hold extra/special classes, if needed in order to complete the syllabus at the earliest.
