Hours after Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, died after performing at a concert in Kolkata, a video of the singer complaining of heat has emerged. Another video showed KK, surrounded by his team and bodyguards, rushing out of the venue.

KK performed at Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha and was taken back to his hotel where he collapsed. The singer was taken to CMRI Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

A video showed that he was not feeling well when he was being rushed out of Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha shortly after his concert ended on Tuesday evening.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the hall had a capacity to accommodate 2,500 people, but the event was attended by around 5,000 people. Another video shows the singer complaining about heat and humidity during the concert.

The playback singer collapsed after the concert. He was “brought dead” to Kolkata’s CMRI Hospital around 10 pm on Tuesday.

Amid claims of mismanagement and poor facilities, Bengal BJP MP Dilip Ghosh on Wednesday said, “When such big celebrities come to perform, mismanagement takes place, but it is the administration’s responsibility to provide protection to celebrities.”

“Just imagine the situation inside the hall after the AC was switched off in this hot weather,” alleged Ghosh.

Former West Bengal president of the party, Dilip Ghosh, said, “Don’t know if he fell ill due to that situation and he lost his life as a result of that.”

He said, “It seems to the government doesn’t have any control over anything. It is very worrisome.”

Dilip Ghosh took to Twitter to express grief over the sudden demise of the singer and wrote, “Hum, rahen ya na rahen kal Kal yaad aayenge ke ye pal” Deeply shocked and saddened by the untimely demise of renowned singer KK. Om Shanti.”
