Kolkata: The last and longest race of the Winter Season classics is the running of the Calcutta St. Leger (2022) here at the RCTC on Wednesday. Two geldings, three colts and one filly make up the numbers for this event to be contested over 2800 metres. The lone filly Kamilah from the stable Shiraj Sunderji should go one better this time out with Trevor Patel guiding her fortunes. Taking her run in the derby, where the daughter of My Lakshmi who had a troubled passage down the home straight and lost by a neck, to the winner Eastwood. The Protector who ran fourth in the same race will add spice to the finish.
