Fog disrupts flight operations at Kolkata airport – India Today

Due to fog and poor visibility, some flights were delayed at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata today.

A thick layer of fog has engulfed many parts of Kolkata, especially surrounding areas of the airport like New Town and Dumdum .

According to officials, the visibility has been below 50 meters since 4.30 am and that is why some morning flights have been delayed.

Many in-and-out flights have been delayed as of now.

The Meteorological Department (MeT) has predicted temperatures will go up in the day on Wednesday (February 2), expecting rains in many parts of Bengal starting Thursday.
