Kolkata: Massive fire breaks out at Jhupri market in Salt Lake; fire tenders rushed to the spot – Economic Times

A massive fire broke out at Salt Lake’s FD Block Jhupri market in Kolkata on January 11. Fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse off the fire. Police along with fire fighters are at the spot to control the situation. Later on the fire was doused off. The reason of the fire remains uncertain. Speaking onthe fire incident, West Bengal Fire Services Minister, Sujit Bose said, “The cause of the fire is being investigated. The fire is under control now, there is some pocket fire at some places but the fire engines are engaged in extinguishing the fire.”
