Tourist attractions including the Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, Science City, Nicco Park, Alipore Zoo to name a few, will be included. For now, the tourism department has collaborated with more than 30 popular tourist attractions in Kolkata. This is definitely something new for the city, and probably something that needs to be made a common procedure throughout the country.

At present, the integrated pass is still in the making, and once it is ready, it will be made available online (app-based) and also over-the-counter at designated venues.

To make the experience more convenient and less confusing, various attractions will be clubbed together. Every zone will have its own set of attractions clubbed together.

Integrated Tourist Pass to come soon to Kolkata

It is true that while exploring a city, and especially if the city is as big and busy as Kolkata is, it can be a big hassle procuring entry passes. This new Integrated Tourist Pass will not only save time but will definitely improve tourism in the city as people will be able to move seamlessly (and quickly) from one attraction to another.

The Integrated Tourist Pass, however, is not the only exciting thing about Kolkata at the moment. The city is also trying its best to promote the Durga Puja idol museum at Rabindra Sarobar. The idol makers in the city make some of the most elaborate idols during Durga Puja and once they do the
visarjan ceremony, these idols are literally thrown away.

The idol museum saves some of these iconic idols that everyone can revisit even after Durga Puja; we think it’s a great idea for a tourist attraction.
