Body of TMC councillor’s son found hanging at his office in Kolkata – India Today

The body of the TMC councillor’s son, Pintu Shil, was recovered from his office in the Garden Reach area in Kolkata. A source said that the body was found hanging in a room on the premises on Saturday, by one of his family members.

West Bengal Police sources said that he died after the 42-year-old allegedly hanged himself. Pintu is the son of Ranajit Shil, who is the TMC municipal councillor of 133 Ward. His family has said the body was recovered around midnight on Saturday.

Police are investigating the death of the All India Trinamool Congress councillor’s son and the cause of his death is yet to be ascertained. Also, police sources said that no suicide note has been recovered from the site.

It was his family who found his body hanging in his office. Thereafter, he was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.

Police further said that he was involved in promoting trade and business.
