Promoter shot at in Kolkata, two absconding – Times of India

KOLKATA: A middle-aged promoter was shot at by two men on Tuesday night. The incident was reported around 8pm from the Niranjanpally area in Bansdroni.
The victim, Sadhan Banik, was admitted to Peerless Hospital. Doctors said that the promoter had sustained bullet injury in his leg but he was out of danger, said a source. The two accused, Arpan Chakraborty and Bubai, both locals, are absconding. Cops said the accused were the associates of Johnnie, with whom the victim’s wife was in a relationship.
This is the second shooting incident involving a promoter in Bansdroni in less than a month.
