Kolkata: Three-day closure of Durgapur Bridge from January 23 – Times of India

KOLKATA: Traffic on Durgapur Bridge will be shut from Saturday night for the next 72 hours to allow KMDA to carry out the long-pending load test.
“We are shutting traffic from 10pm on January 23 after PM Narendra Modi’s visit and we expect it to be reopened by January 26 evening as KMDA expects to complete work,” said an officer from Tollygunge traffic guard.
Cops have already begun putting up directional maps and posters talking of the detours right up to Alipore. The smooth flow of traffic on Majerhat Bridge has provided police the confidence to go ahead with the shutdown.
