KOLKATA: Several Pujas in the north have decided to restrict entry of people inside the pandals. Most pandals can be viewed from a distance. Several pandals, even in the south, have decided to increase the height of the idols. But police have warned that the height of the idol cannot be increased beyond the permissible limit.
There is also the concern of setting up sanitization channels on the road, as it could affect the normal movement. “The usual pattern of movement will change outside some of the major attractions,” said an officer.
These issues will be discussed at a meeting with local cops on Thursday when they speak to each of the major organizers. A few bonedi bari Pujas along with barowari Pujas will be covered as well.
